About five years ago, American Music’s favorite couple Jennifer Lopez Marc Anthony marriage was officially ended. In 2011, the seven years marriage was came to a stop. However, the two lovebirds are once again uniting together, but wait before you get too excited, this time joining as business partners.
Jennifer Lopez has recently consented to a new business deal with Sony Music Latin and Anthony’s Music label, Magnus Media. This contract will bound the two companies to develop and produce the upcoming album of the Latin diva. The new album will be in Spanish language and is set to release in November.
The Jennifer Lopez-Marc Anthony deal will have Anthony acting as the executive producer, according to E! News, and his label will also "provide consulting services to Lopez in the areas of marketing, content development, and touring specifically for the Hispanic market."
The new album by Jennifer Lopez-Marc Anthony deal is going to be the Lopez's first Spanish-language album since 2007. "Como Ama Una Mujer" was the last Spanish album that the Latin pop star recorded. The then album became the fifth Spanish album to climb up to top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart.
That record, became a big hit (co-produced by Anthony) and was acknowledged as the highest debuting Spanish album by a solo female artist and that record is still intact.
In an interview to the Billboard, Lopez said, "I am so excited and really looking forward to this new musical journey and to celebrate my Latin roots with Marc Anthony and the Sony/Magnus family."
Anthony on the same said, “It is an honor to welcome Jennifer to the Magnus Family. She has had enormous accomplishments in her career and has been representing our culture all over the world from day one."
If this album becomes a success, the winning duo will set on to produce a subsequent album as well.
